Aim and Scope

Aims

The International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics publishes as rapidly as possible manuscripts of high standard, through electronic submission and reviewing.  It provides a fast communication platform among researchers using mathematics as a tool for solving problems in mechanics, with particular emphasis in the integration of theory and applications.

Scope

Mechanics is the study of the response of objects to forces and how to control it.  Forces range from gravity to intermolecular.  The objects may be galaxies or atoms, biological or chemical, solid or liquid, and can be intelligent.  The response may be regular, have phase changes, be catastrophic or be chaotic.  Control includes the prediction, detection, monitoring and manipulation of the response.  The mathematical tools used to solve such problems in mechanics include analytical, semi-analytical, numerical and artificial intelligence ones.  In order to cover as wide an audience as possible, abstract or axiomatic mathematics is not encouraged.

Original high quality papers should be uploaded to http://ijamm.bc.cityu.edu.hk in PDF format limited to 10MB and will be peer reviewed electronically.
